Abstract
Vārāhī, the boar-faced goddess is regarded as one of the prominent mother goddesses in the group of Saptamātṛkā or Aṣṭamatṛkā (seven or eight mother goddesses) and occupies a crucial role in early medieval Sculptures of Bengal. Number of independent Vārāhī sculptures apart from the mātṛkā panel found till the date is decent. The deity is often seen seated in lalitāsana posture with her attributes. Many sculptures of the deity are securely preserved in various museums whereas some of newly findings remain undocumented. This paper deals with the iconography of three undocumented Vārāhī sculptures found from different parts of Dakshin Dinajpur District during field visit by the authors.
